In 1970, Lewis Plumridge was called up for National Service, Australia’s compulsory military service scheme.
A recent Bachelor of Music graduate, Lewis joined the band of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, Canberra, serving as a clarinet player.
During this time, he also played the organ part-time in the Anglican and Protestant Chapel of the ANZAC Memorial Chapel of St Paul on the grounds of the Royal Military College.
The organ and trumpet music featured on these CDs was recorded throughout his period of National Service in Canberra.
